“The Hero’s Journey” at Unity of Rehoboth Beach

This week at Unity Spiritual Center, we look at “Star Wars - A New Hope,” the first installment many of us viewed in 1975. As we review the story of Luke Skywalker and his friends, we also look at the archetype of the Here and his/her journey to growth, knowledge, even wisdom.

We have been using the Science Fiction writers visions into our possible future and seen much of what they had envisioned come to fruition. And as we look at their idea of the future we also can look at the possibilities of human evolvement regarding many of the important issues of the day. Sci-Fi tackles greed, homelessness, poverty, homosexuality,  and last week, we looked at androids and how we treat anyone who is different from us in society. All these are important issues for todays society, unfortunately.

Why not join us as we continue this interesting and important discussion through the summer. We meet at 10 AM every Sunday at 98 Rudder Road, Suite 1-A, Millsboro, DE 19966. We are easy to find, just off Long Neck Road at the Sea Farers Village in Long Neck.
