It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Delaware and Maryland beaches!
And well it should, with less than two weeks to go now until the big day. And staying with the holiday theme, we’ve got several more seasonal events to tell you about this week, along with a special comic book themed event in Ocean City.
And just a reminder that the area’s Christmas light displays are still going strong, at locations spread throughout the region. Click the link below to read more about them and how you can get in on the fun before the holiday season is over.
Holiday Light Displays and More
We begin this week in Milton and a holiday event that taps into the long history of this coastal Delaware community…
Milton Holly Festival (December 14). We honor Milton’s history as one of the leading holly producers in the United States this Saturday, with the town’s 30th annual Holly Festival.
Scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in three separate locations throughout town, this festival is highly anticipated every year in Milton and features an abundance of crafts, artwork, jewelry, holiday gifts and, of course, wreaths and other items made out of holly.
This year’s festival will be held at the Milton Volunteer Fire Department, Goshen Hall and at the Milton Public Library. And don’t forget to bring the kids for pictures with Santa.

Ocean City ComicCon (December 14). For a break from all of the holiday themed fun, head to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center this weekend for the 2019 Ocean City ComicCon.
Scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, December 14, this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better than in years past.
Admission is $10 for adults, but you can get $1 off if you bring a non-perishable food item, and another $1 off if you wear your favorite costume to the event. Kids 9 and under are admitted for free, with a paying adult.
Scheduled activities include costume contests, dozens of vendors and a host of panels, exploring topics such as “Warrior Island,” “CSI Gotham City,” “Be Your Own Superhero,” Cosplay 101″ and many others.

Rehoboth Beach SantaCon (December 14). Part of a nationwide event, Rehoboth Beach will be holding a SantaCon this Saturday, December 14, at locations throughout the resort.
Organizers invite everyone to visit downtown Rehoboth Beach dressed as Santa Claus, or any other holiday character, and get into the spirit of the holidays along with other members of the community.
Scheduled activities include group photos at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand and Boardwalk, food and drink specials at area merchants and more holiday themed fun.
