AMATEUR RADIO OPEN OPERATING NIGHT

September 15, 2019

Story Location:
21911 Rudder Lane
Georgetown, DE 19947
United States

If you are a ham radio operator and don’t have your shack set up yet, or a ham that would like to try operating on high frequencies, this event is for you! Open Operating Nights give you an opportunity to become familiar with the radios and computers in the RACES Room, and also the opportunity to learn new skills. Some evenings special projects are available for you to sharpen your techniques.

The Sussex County AuxComm Open Operating night for September is Tuesday the 17th. The station should be open shortly after 6 PM.  Located in the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center at the Delaware Coastal Airport in Georgetown, DE

We monitor Sussex County Primary Simplex 144.915 and the 147.090 repeater for directions and access. Typically we try to get on the Delaware Traffic Net at 1830 and the Coastal Carolina Emergency Net at 1900.

If you are new to the area, an old hat who wants to try out new equipment or would like to meet other ham radio operators, here is your opportunity to join in the radio fun!
