Bayhealth Cancer Patients Benefit from Charity Partnership

October 5, 2018

Bayhealth cancer patients recently received messages of hope, blankets, and other items from Winner Subaru in Dover and the Delaware Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The two organizations partnered to participate in the Subaru Loves to Care Initiative and chose Bayhealth cancer patients to be the recipients of the donations for the third consecutive year.

Through the program, Winner Subaru customers are invited to share messages of hope, and for every vehicle purchased, blankets and other items are donated. The program is designed to provide comfort and support to cancer patients.

“LLS Delaware is so grateful for the ongoing partnership and support of Subaru. The Subaru Loves to Care Initiative is one of our favorite campaigns because of the involvement of gifts to the patients currently undergoing treatment at Bayhealth. We are honored to work with Bayhealth and Subaru year after year,” said Heather McGraw, campaign specialist, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Delaware Chapter.

Senior Director of Operations, Oncology Service Line and Executive Director of the Bayhealth Cancer Institute John Shevock, FACHE, FACMPE, said, “Partnerships with patient advocates and business leaders align with our cancer program’s mission to increase awareness and support for cancer patients in our communities.”
