CAMP Rehoboth’s Handmade Market set to feature local crafts, live music, and summer fun

CAMP Rehoboth Community Center’s July Handmade Market is set to celebrate the summer season in a big way. On Friday, July 9, from 5-8 p.m. in the CAMP Rehoboth Courtyard, visitors are invited to shop at 37-39 Baltimore Ave for a variety of crafts, art, goods, and more!

This July market will feature ten local LGBTQ+/ally artists and makers. Artists from Geri Dibiase to Betsy Patten to Millie Crotty will return the market with photography, sculpture, and ceramics, respectively. Monica Chmielewski, another returnee, will offer stunning quilts and other small fabric items. Visitors are spoiled with choices from the paintings and photography of Alexis McKenzie, aptly known as Intuitive Artist by the Beach on Facebook.

Shoppers will also be treated to a myriad of new and fresh vendors at the CAMP Rehoboth Courtyard. Meanwhile, Lanae Drew will bring her “Funky Creative” alive to the market, with a host of different digital and acrylic paintings and stickers. Maria Antoinette Bags makes wonderfully appealing handbags, totes, clutches, and wristlets that will look great for any buyer. First-time vendor Serina Ceramics will also offer her wide array of handmade earrings, including some from her latest Pride collection. Finally, Mariah Minner Studio will be offering a range of keychains, stickers, notebooks, cups, art prints, and shirts.

For another consecutive month, live music will set the mood at the Handmade Market. This month, CAMP Rehoboth member Robb Mapou (aka Robb the Uke Guy) will be providing his unique ukulele stylings of jazz standards, folk, Hawaiian, and some rock music at the market.

In the case of a weather event, the market will be moved inside the CAMP Rehoboth Elkins-Archibald Atrium at 37 Baltimore Ave.
