Don’t Miss the 30th Annual Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddler’s Festival this Friday to Sunday in Rehoboth Beach

October 23, 2019

The 2019 fall festival season has once again been two months of good times and great fun at the Delaware and Maryland beaches, but perhaps the biggest event of them all is taking this place weekend in Delaware’s most popular coastal resort.

Yes, it’s time once again for the annual Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddler’s Festival, as always organized and coordinated by the hard working folks at the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce.

There are other special events these next few days as well, but the final full weekend of October is always dominated by this annual fun-loving festival that now takes place over three days in the “Nation’s Summer Capital” of Rehoboth Beach.

This is the 30th anniversary of the festival, which started slowly back in the late 80s but is now one of the biggest and most anticipated events of the year.

Now, here are our choices for the weekend of Oct. 25-27 in the coastal region…

Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddler’s Festival (Oct. 25-27). When thinking of this annual festival, most people think of the costume parade up and down Rehoboth Avenue on Saturday morning. And while that’s certainly the highlight of this three-day gathering, there’s much, much more to see and witness at Rehoboth Beach’s most well known annual event.

Once again, thousands of visitors are expected in the resort this weekend for three days of fun in 2019’s extended season. Listed below are a few of the highlights of this year’s Sea Witch Festival, including the always popular pet parade on Sunday.

This is just a small sampling of what’s happening this weekend at the Sea Witch Festival. Visit www.beach-fun.com for a complete schedule of the weekend’s activities.

  • Costume Parade. Saturday, Oct. 26, beginning at 11 a.m., down Rehoboth Avenue. Get there early for a good view.

Children’s Fantasy Trail (Oct. 25-27). This fun, family friendly annual event will take place on Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday Oct. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Cape Henlopen State Park.

Don’t forget to wear your costumes in the spirit of Halloween. The cost is $5 per person.

Wags, Witches & Warlocks Festival (October 26). If Sea Witch didn’t give you enough of a Halloween fix, or if you just feel like partaking in two great events on the same day, head to Bethany Beach this Saturday for the 2019 Wags, Witches & Warlocks Festival.

Scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., this festival is open to both humans and pets, with proceeds benefitting the Brandywine Valley SPCA.

One of the highlights of the event will be the parade that begins at 10 a.m., which is followed by a costume contest as well as trick or treating in downtown Bethany Beach from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
