Holiday Events in Rehoboth, Milton and Bethany Beach Highlight Mid-December Events Calendar

December 11, 2018

Greetings and welcome to another edition of the “Weekender Blog,” brought to you each week by the real estate professionals at the Oldfather Group of Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty.

We haven’t used that opening greeting in awhile, but we wanted to do so today because we’ll soon be updating our most popular weekly blog and giving it a bit of a facelift.

With that facelift, which we expect to fully integrate sometime in the next few weeks, we will also be giving the “Weekender” a new name.

The “Coastal Compass” will continue to be your one-stop source for everything that’s happening at the Delaware and Maryland beaches. We will continue telling you everything you need to know for maximizing your life along the coast, whether you live here full-time or are just visiting for a few days.

And if you’re just visiting for a few days but are interested in making the coastal region your home, whether year-round or just during the warm weather season, be sure to give us a ring at 302-260-2000. We’ve helped hundreds of people over the years make the move to the Delaware and Maryland beaches, and we can help you too!

Okay on to this week’s blog, but be on the lookout for the new “Coastal Compass” coming your way after the first of the year. Here are our top choices for the weekend of December 14-16 at the Delaware and Maryland beaches:

Holiday Tea at the Milton Theatre (December 16). The historic Milton Theatre will be hosting their annual holiday tea this Sunday, December 16, beginning at 2 p.m.

This is an interactive show and will include several characters associated with the holidays, including the Grinch, Elsa from the movie “Frozen” and many others. Light snacks will be served, along with either hot or cold tea.

Tickets for this fun holiday show for the entire family are $13 and can be purchased here.

Winter Vendor and Craft Show (December 15). If you’ve put off your Christmas shopping until the last minute and are in need of some gifts for family and/or friends, then stop by Cape Henlopen High School this Saturday, December 15, for the annual “Winter Vendor and Craft Show.”

There will be approximately 60 vendors on hand to help you out with those last minute shopping ideas. The event is scheduled to last from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., and all proceeds go to benefit the good work being done at the Sussex Consortium.

Vienna Boys Choir at RBCC (December 14). The world-renowned Vienna Boys Choir will be making a single appearance this weekend at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, on Friday evening at 7 p.m.

Hailed as one of the finest vocal ensembles in the world for more than 500 years, the choir will be singing yuletide favorites to get you into the spirit of the holidays.

In addition to holiday songs, the performance will also include Austrian folk songs, classical masterpieces, popular songs and much more.

Tickets for this one-time event are $49 and can be purchased online here. Call 410-798-6304 for more information.
