It’s All About the Holiday Season this Weekend at the Delaware and Maryland Beaches

December 4, 2019

We hope everyone is feeling jolly and merry this week, as we’re now fully involved in the most festive time of the year here in Delaware and Maryland’s coastal region.

As you can probably guess, our blog this week is dominated by holiday themed events. And with Santa preparing for his yearly trek around the world and Christmas inching ever so closer on the calendar, you can’t help but get caught up in all of the festivities.

The events over the next few days are many, with an expanded list of featured happenings on our blog for the second week in a row. So keep reading below for much more on the 2019 Caroling on The Circle event in Georgetown, as well as many more events we’re excited to tell you about this week.

Caroling on The Circle 2019 (December 9). One of the most festive and anticipated events of December happens this coming Monday in the center of Georgetown, as the 2019 Caroling on The Circle festivities take center stage.

Always a holiday favorite, this year’s event will feature an evening of traditional Christmas carols, a visit from Santa Claus and performances by students from several local schools, as well as El Centro Cultural in Georgetown.

Free cookies and hot chocolate will also be available after the event at the nearby Georgetown Fire Company.

The 2019 Caroling on The Circle kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9. The event is free to attend, though attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the needy during the holiday season.

Bethany Beach Weekend Wonderland (December 7). The first of three Weekend Wonderland events takes place this Saturday, December 7, in downtown Bethany Beach.

Scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., this Saturday as well as December 14 and December 21, this event is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit, with carriage rides, photos with Santa Claus, Christmas caroling, tax-free shopping and more on the agenda.

There will also be an Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt, with chances to win prizes donated by local businesses.

Milford Holiday Stroll (December 6). Always a festive time in downtown Milford, this year’s holiday stroll is scheduled for Friday, December 6, from 5 to 8 p.m.

This is the 14th year for this popular local event, which includes holiday carolers, local entertainment, a visit from Santa Claus, an appearance by the Delmarva Miniature Horse Club and carriage rides.
