Late On Valentine’s Day Plans?! You’re in luck...
Valentine’s Day has been celebrated here in the United States since the early 1700’s when colonist began exchanging handmade valentine cards and notes, but the history of the day of love can be traced back to the Middle Ages (the oldest known valentine still in existence today was a poem written in 1415 by Charles, Duke of Orleans, to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London).
While we’re fortunately living lonnger, scheduling today is more of a challenge than it was in the Middle Ages. Statistics show that 42% of couples will dine at their favorite restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Clearly, dining out with your significant other is a tried and true event for lovebirds on February 14th, but what happens when your schedule can’t make it work or – worse yet – you somehow forget to make reservations for what is traditionally one of the busiest nights of the season?
No worries – Eden Restaurant, located at 53 Baltimore Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach, Delaware has you covered.
Voted by Delaware Today magazine as having the “Most Romantic Atmosphere” for many years counting, Eden believes that an amorous holiday like Valentine’s Day should be celebrated the entire week.
In fact, Eden Restaurant has Valentine’s Day Specials every day of the week celebrating the jour d'amour. The wrap up is this, if you and your special someone can’t make Wednesday, February 4th work, there’s still six other evenings in the week to order up some romance with your entree and favorite wine!
Eden Restaurant, by the way, has been nationally recognized for over a decade by Wine Spectator Magazine for their impressive wine list and they take deep pride in educating the front of the house staff about the intricacies of their extensive and carefully selected wine options.
In this episode of Coastal Cuisine, host Michael Sprouse joins Eden’s Chris Capriotti for an inside look at why Eden may be the perfect spot for you and your special someone when your love life doesn’t fit into your schedule.
