A Little Something for Everyone This Weekend in the Coastal Region

July 18, 2018

t's hard to believe that the traditional Memorial Day to Labor Day summer season is more than half over already. We hope everyone is making the most of what is definitely one of the best times of the year to live in Delaware and Maryland's coastal region.

There's so much going on in the area, including some great shows and outdoor concerts. If you missed our writeup on these outdoor entertainment options a couple of weeks ago, you can check it out by clicking on the link below.

There's some great acts coming to several different venues over the course of the next few weeks, and most of these concerts are free of charge to attendees. So take a look and see if there's something that whets your appetite.

July Outdoor Concerts

Okay, let's move on to what's happening over the weekend of July 20-22 here in the coastal region.

We've got some fun and exciting things coming up this weekend at the beaches. Here are our top choices for things to do between July 20 and 22 in the coastal region:

Seafood & Arts Festival (July 21). This annual festival is held at the Indian River Marina and spotlights local artists, as well as a variety of seafood dishes, in a family atmosphere.

This should be a fun day for everyone, so be sure to come hungry and ready to take in some great local art.

The 2018 Seafood & Arts Festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, July 21, at the Indian River Marina. Call 302-227-6991 for more information.

43rd Annual Craft Fair at Angola By The Bay (July 21). Craft vendors from throughout Delmarva will be selling their wares at this long-time local craft fair, scheduled for Saturday, July 21, at Angola by the Bay in Lewes.

Arts and crafts, plants and produce will all be for sale, and light refreshments will be available.

Admission is free and the craft fair is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 302-549-4877 for more information on this 43rd annual coastal event.

Dewey Claus Crawl (July 21). This is billed as Dewey Beach's "biggest party of the summer" and features a city-wide event with stops at five parties located at four of the resort's most well-known bars.

Scheduled events for this summertime party include Ralphie's Revenge at Jimmy's Grille, a Surfin' Santa Deck Party at the Rusty Rudder, Jingle Jam at the Bottle & Cork and both a Naughty-n-Nice Pool Party and a White Out Snow Rave at North Beach.

Jimmy's Grille is also featuring an open-air roller skating rink that will be open for the entire three-day weekend.
