Start Your Independence Day With the Cape Gazette Firecracker 5K

Celebrate America's 250th birthday with a new, favorite Fourth of July tradition. The Cape Gazette 36th Firecracker 5K is coming to downtown Rehoboth Beach Saturday, July 4, bringing together runners, walkers, families and community members for a morning of patriotic fun.

The race begins at 7:30 a.m. and features an Independence Day-themed atmosphere, a Stars, Stripes & Stride costume contest, post-race breakfast and plenty of red, white and blue spirit. Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply looking for a memorable way to kick off your holiday, the Firecracker 5K offers something for everyone.

As a Seashore Striders Championship Series event, the race attracts competitive runners while remaining welcoming to participants of all ages and abilities.
