SCAOR Accepts Fair Housing proclamation from County Council
SCAOR's 2nd Vice President, George Thomasson, had the honor of accepting a Sussex County Council Proclamation declaring the Month of April as "Fair Housing Month". This proclamation celebrates the 51st anniversary of the US Fair Housing Law, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968; which, in short, ensures a national policy to allow housing without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status or handicap and encourages fair housing for all citizens.
Mr. Thomasson stated, "at this period in time it is so important to continue to embrace and encourage the diversity in our communities for continued growth and sustainability."
