THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT ASSISTED IN HELPING US TO MAKE MASKS FOR THE HOSPITALS
Pat Davis of The Bridal Boutique in Milford, my husband Mark Henkel and I cut 7,000 to 8,000 pieces of material to makes masks.
We had the kind assistance of Liz Williams, Emily Williams, Tripp Williams & Scarlett Stout that assisted in cutting bags and bags of material into the 9”x9” pieces.
We then distributed this to so many people that actually did the sewing and made the masks. We would leave bags of cut material on our front porch with first names of people that were sewing. There were so many people that did the sewing.
WE NEED TO GIVE A SINCERE THANK YOU TO:
All the people that donated the fabric. It just appeared on our porch. Many people gave us all of their remnants from their past sewing projects, new fabric was donated, tablecloths and sheets were donated. We would wake up in the morning and there would bags on the porch with no names of it. FedEx and USPS would be dropping boxes. It was crazy but all good. Someone actually left us chocolates on the door!
All said and done it was wonderful to see the spirit of the wonderful community we live in. Your generosity is so kind. It’s not over yet.. I saw on one of Schell Brothers billboards. “Rough times don’t last. Tough people do”. (think I am close)
All my best,
