October 28, 2017

"A Lesbian Bell Tells" audience members can settle back and hear true stories about growing up in Mississippi, coming out in DC and experiencing family estrangement, love and healing.

Elizabeth McCain will perform her one-woman show at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, and at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 5, at CAMP Rehoboth Community Center in Rehoboth Beach. She encourages hope from the comfort of a rocking chair, with captivating moments of comedy and triumph over tragedy, as only a lesbian belle can tell.

Tickets are $20. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to camprehoboth.com.

A Mississippi native, living outside the nation's capital, McCain premiered her award-winning show at the 2014 Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC, and won Best Solo Show.

As part of McCain's Rehoboth engagements, she will hold a workshop about the power of personal stories from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 6. The workshop, Our LGBTQ Stories Matter, will be held at the Metropolitan Community Church at 19369 Plantations Road, Rehoboth Beach. Registration for the course is $30 and closes Friday, Oct. 27. To register, go to www.Eventbrite.
