‘Beauty and the Beast’ figure skating show set April 28-29

The Bay Country Figure Skating Club will present '”Beauty and the Beast” at 6 p.m., Friday, April 28, and 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, April 29, at the Centre Ice Rink at Delaware State Fair in Harrington. The show will bring to life a host of fairy-tale characters. Co-directed by the Centre's Skating Director Jerry Santoferrara and Coach Tom Harrison, "Beauty and the Beast" features an original story and is choreographed to a variety of familiar music.

The cast will consist of more than 70 local skaters of all ages and levels including Bay Country Figure Skating Club members as well as students and coaches from the rink's skating programs.The show will also feature previews of First State Ice Theatre's competitive programs for the 2016-17 season. The adult team will perform their "Rocky Horror" freestyle program, and an open team will perform their "Aladdin" freestyle program. 

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 5-9, with free admission for children under 5. Groups of 10 or more receive $2 off each ticket if purchased in advance.
