‘Happy Days’ musical auditions set April 28, May 1 in Milford

April 25, 2019

Directors Josh Gross and Laura Howard have announced auditions for Second Street Players’ summer 2019 production of the musical “Happy Days.” The show is based on the popular hit TV show of the same name. Auditions are open to anyone 16 years and older. Those who are under 16 will need the directors’ permission to audition. Adult roles are needed to be filled as well.

Auditions will be at 7 p.m., Sunday, April 28 and Wednesday, May 1, at the Riverfront Theater, 2 South Walnut St., Milford. Everyone auditioning should be prepared to sing a song, preferably something from a Broadway show. All songs will be done a cappella. There will be a dance audition, so actors should dress appropriately. There will also be cold readings from the script.

Show dates are Friday to Sunday, July 19 to 21 and 26 to 28.

Goodbye grey skies, hello blue! Happy days are here again with Richie, Potsie, Ralf Malph and the unforgettable King of Cool, Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzarelli.

Based on the hit Paramount Pictures television series, “Happy Days, A New Musical” reintroduces one of America’s best-loved families, the Cunninghams – yes, Howard, Marion and Joanie are here too. The famed drive-in malt shop and number one hangout, Arnolds, is in danger of demolition. So, the gang teams up to save it with a dance contest and TV-worthy wrestling match.
