‘Cinderella,’ ‘Aladdin’ and Aesop on stage this summer

July 13, 2018

Three classic, fun-filled plays are featured on the 2018 schedule of the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre. For the 37th year, the company presents its unique two-actor productions designed to delight audiences of all ages. “Cinderella,” “Aladdin” and “Androcles and the Lion” are currently rotating on the RSCT schedule through Thursday, Aug. 23.

Resident actors Olivia Damore and Theo Wampler demonstrate their impressive skills bringing all the summer characters to life. Cinderella finds her lost slipper and Prince Charming finds his runaway love. Aladdin gets help from not one, but two genies to trick a greedy sorceress and win the heart of a princess. Aesop’s familiar tale takes the stage as Androcles pulls a thorn from the paw of a fierce lion and makes an unlikely friend for life.

These sparkling, one-hour shows are performed at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach. The church is one block off Route 1 next to the Seaside Outlets. There is plenty of free parking. Tickets are $10 and children under 3 are admitted free. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.rehobothchildrenstheatre.org or call 302-227-6766.
