‘Frankie’ to open at Cinema Art Theatre Dec. 6

Starting Friday, Dec 6, The Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater will present “Frankie,” a drama, featuring a stellar cast, about a family grappling with a life-changing experience during one day of vacation in a beautiful, historic town.

Unfolding over the course of a late summer's day in the fabled resort town of Sintra, Portugal, “Frankie” follows three generations who have gathered for a vacation organized by the family matriarch (Isabelle Huppert). In this fairy tale setting, husbands and wives, parents and children, friends and lovers - stirred by their romantic impulses - discover the cracks between them, as well as unexpected depth of feeling.

Screening times are 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6; 1:15 and 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec 7; 3:15 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8; 1:30 p.m., Monday, Dec 9; 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec 10; 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec 11; and 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec 12.

Admission is $8 for members and $11 for nonmembers. Customers are encouraged to purchase tickets online. If seats are available, tickets can be purchased at the theater starting 30 minutes prior to each screening.
