This summer, family members of all ages can enjoy one of the most beloved stories of all time, “The Wizard of Oz,” as the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre brings the classic tale to the stage with weekly performances through Thursday, Aug. 22.
This unique, creative production is performed entirely by Alyssa Batsakis and Hallie Hargus, who demonstrate their marvelous skill and versatility as the theatre’s two 2019 resident actors. Hallie plays Dorothy and Alyssa plays everyone else. There is great fun for all as costumes fly fast and furiously, and all the familiar characters come to life.
This sparkling one-hour production rotates on the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre schedule with “The Jungle Book” and “Alice in Wonderland.”
Since 1982, audiences have been delighted by the clever two-actor scripts developed by company founders Elise Seyfried and Steve Seyfried, who directs the current season. Tickets to all shows are $10; children under 3 are admitted free.
