The Rehoboth Beach Museum will welcome Dr. Cynthia Newton to Conversations on History, virtual online programming, at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 13.
In recognition of the 100th anniversary, Newton will discuss the Silent Sentinel protests outside the White House from 1917-19. Little is widely known about these women, their nonviolent protests and the brutal treatment they experienced just to have a voice in governance. Highlights of Delaware women involved in this fight will be featured.
