21st Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival slated Nov. 1-11

October 19, 2018

Eleven days of wonderful films is what attendees will enjoy at the 21st anniversary of the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival from Thursday, Nov. 1, through Sunday, Nov. 11.

This year’s festival features a rich and diverse assortment of American and international features, documentaries, and short films. The selection includes a biographical comedy about the secret life of writer Emily Dickinson, a tribute to Hal Ashby, a doc about the world of corporate musicals, a drama about an opera singer played by Julianne Moore with Renée Fleming vocals, a funny story about how inheriting millions impacts four residents of a senior home, and a thriller about what happens when a 911 call is suddenly disconnected, plus many more. A feature highlight will be the appearance of local business owner Sam Calagione in the film “Brewmaster” as well as at the screening Friday, Nov. 10.

The festival will take place at three venues – the film society’s Cinema Art Theater, the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware facility, and Cape Henlopen High School.

To get all the information about films, screening schedules and how to purchase tickets online, go to www.rehobothfilm.com or pick up a program at local libraries, the Cinema Art Theater, and area hotels. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities during this event as well. To schedule a shift or for more information, call the RBFS main office at 302-645-9095.
