Alison Houck CPA to serve on national accountancy board

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy announced Alison Houck, CPA, of Rehoboth Beach will serve on its 2019-20 board of directors as Middle Atlantic regional director. She was installed into office during NASBA’s 112th Annual Meeting in Boston.

A managing partner with the Rehoboth Beach Office of Faw, Casson and Co. LLP, Houck will serve as chair of NASBA’s Diversity Committee and as a member of NASBA’s Relations with Member Boards and Education Committees. She is a former member of the NASBA Communications Committee.

In 2015, Houck was appointed to a three-year term on the Delaware State Board of Accountancy, where she is a former secretary and currently serves as board chair. She also served three years as Delaware’s designated member of the AICPA National Council.

Houck is a graduate of the University of Delaware where she earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She is actively involved in the local community, serving on the board of ambassadors and finance committee for Beebe Medical Foundation, the finance committee for Beebe Healthcare, the finance committee for Lewes Yacht Club, the MIS and Accounting Advisory Board at University of Delaware, the Southern Delaware Advisory Board for WSFS Bank and the Southern Delaware Development Committee for Children & Families First Inc. She is also the recipient of many distinctions including the NAWBO Bridge Builder Award and Best Accountant in Sussex County for four years in a row.
