All ages invited to Trinket or Treat in Milton Oct. 2-15

September 30, 2020

The proverb "time flies when you're having fun" is true in Milton.

For the owners of Ogre's Grove, it seems like yesterday that they opened the comic shop. However, this October marks its third anniversary already. To thank the community for the support, they're again hosting a trick-or-treating event for all ages.

Instead of having two hours like last year, Trinket or Treat participants will have two weeks to complete the map, to allow for social distancing. From Friday, Oct. 2 to Thursday, Oct. 15, participating businesses will give a free item to everyone who shows up with a map. Freebies include soap samples, temporary tattoos and Halloween candy. Maps can be printed at OgresGrove.com, or picked up from noon to 5 p.m., Fridays or Saturdays at 129 Union St. in Milton. Since face masks are already required in public places, participants are encouraged to wear their most creative masks while exploring the locations on the map.

Participants have until Saturday, Oct. 17, to prepare costumes to wear to Ogre’s Grove when they turn in completed maps for a free comic book, plus goodies from other special guests such as the Milton Police Department and Milton Garden Club. Time-designated reservations for Oct. 17 must be made at OgresGrove.com and costumes will be voted on virtually.
