Allison Forbes Dench, retired social worker

Allison Forbes Dench passed away in Lewes Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021. She was born in June 1920, in Paris, France, and lived most of her life in Ridgefield, Conn. She moved to Lewes in 2012.
After graduating from Barnard College, Allison worked as a clinical social worker in Connecticut and New York. Upon retirement, she continued advocating for women, including work with the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP). She loved to read, travel, folk dance, and enjoy the company of family and friends.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
