Anchor Coffee House to host 5th Avenue jazz trio Sept. 18

The Anchor Coffee House at Groome Church will reopen after a 23-month hiatus with a 5th Avenue jazz concert from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, at 601 Savannah Road, Lewes.

A local trio formed originally by the late alto saxophonist/clarinetist Ken Cicerale, 5th Avenue’s current lineup of Vincent Varrassi on keyboards, Ken Schleifer on drums and Jeff Cooper on bass will perform jazz standards and selections from the Great American Songbook.

Admission is $10 cash at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. with hot and cold nonalcoholic beverages and pastries available for purchase.
