Angola home damaged by fire

Damage was confined to an area around a fireplace and the roof above it.
A Dec. 8 fire damaged the roof of an Angola home.
The fire was reported at 3:39 a.m. at a home on Dogwood Drive in the West Bay community, said Warren Jones, spokesman for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Co.
Smoke was coming from the home when firefighters from Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, and Indian River arrived at the scene, Jones said. The fire was confined to an area surrounding the fireplace and the roof over the fireplace, he said.
There were no reported injuries; the Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating. More information will be provided when available.
