Anna Lee Hudson, Sussex homemaker

Mrs. Anna Lee Hudson, 70, of Dagsboro passed away at home with her family by her side Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.  

Anna was born in Lewes to the late John H. Mitchell Sr.  and Effie M. Dickerson Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Sammy Mitchell, Kendall Warren, Donald Warren and Arthur Warren.

She was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children. She babysat for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored.  Anna loved to cook, especially fried chicken and dumplings.  She also enjoyed word search and playing cards.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Terry Hudson of Dagsboro; four sons, Dean Hudson (Denise) of Harbeson, Kenny Hudson (Lisa) of Seaford, Wesley Hudson Sr. (Michelle) of Bishopville, Md., and Glenn Hudson Sr. (Sami Leighton) of Dagsboro; two brothers, John H. Mitchell Jr. (Ruth Ann) of Dagsboro and Billy Warren of Leesville, La.

She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m., for visitation and viewing.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome.
