Anthony Pires is Community Bank Director of the Month
Community Bank Delaware’s Director of the Month is Anthony “Tony” Pires.
A founding member of the bank, Pires has served as a director since 2006. In addition to board duties, he chairs the Asset and Liability Committee and serves on the Audit Committee.
In 2009, Pires became a local retailer with the purchase of the Grog Shop Liquor Store in Lewes. In April 2018, Pires purchased the Sea Esta IV Motel in Rehoboth Beach. It will be updated and renamed The Dunes Rehoboth Beach for the 2019 season.
After a 15-year career as a registered nurse, Pires, and his wife Beth as partner, took an entrepreneurial path, purchasing multifamily properties and running several small businesses. They have three children, all independent, with jobs in event planning, teaching and property management. The Pires are active supporters of numerous charities and events through their local businesses.
As Community Bank Delaware’s Director of the Month, Pires is awarded $500 for his charity of choice, the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare.
