Brynn Evick

This rising Cape freshman is quickly making a name for herself in the elite field hockey scene. She was recently selected to the Junior Olympics squad, earning a spot on the U16 team as the only local player chosen. She will compete at the University of Iowa in Iowa City Aug. 2-4. She also competes for the ShoreByrds travel team, where she is coached by former Delmar High School coach Jodi Hollamon. “Brynn is a versatile player who is eager to learn,” said Hollamon. “She works nonstop to improve her game, and her understanding of the game is exceptional for her age. We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes in high school and beyond.” Brynn’s versatility allows her to excel at forward, midfield and center back in field hockey. She also plays midfield and defense for Coastal Elite Lacrosse Club, showcasing her athleticism across multiple sports. Away from competition, Brynn volunteers with Morgan’s Message initiatives at school, and enjoys surfing and spending time at the beach with friends and family.

Lily Frey

Lily helped lead the Delmarva Freedom 13U softball team to the USSSA Eastern National Championship this past weekend. Her outstanding performance earned her the tournament’s Offensive MVP Award. During the tournament, Lily batted .625 with an impressive 1.723 OPS, collecting 15 hits (six singles, eight doubles and one home run), while driving in 11 RBIs and scoring 10 runs. Lily is an incoming freshman at Cape Henlopen High School. In addition to softball, she enjoys playing field hockey and is an active member of Morgan’s Message, helping promote student-athlete mental health.

Tucker Howard

A Bagel Bomber playing U8 hardball jacked a home run  July 19 at Showell Park in Berlin, Md., in a championship game versus The Force. The Bombers won 11-7. Tucker, a catcher, paced his team this season to a 21-5 record with an offensive triple crown, batting .615 with 37 RBIs and six home runs, including five inside the park. Tucker is the son of Adam Howard of the Body Shop in Rehoboth and Leks Howard, a local RN. Adam and Steve Peet are his Bagel Bombers coaches. His sister Winnie plays Atlantic and ESLC lacrosse. Tucker also plays Atlantic Lacrosse. Tucker’s fence-clearing homer as an 8-year-old joins legendary moments like when Brian Mifflin homered as an 8-year-old in a tee-ball game.

Graham Knowlton

Summer was busy for this Lewes Little League major all-star. Graham pitched 5.2 innings in relief, striking out nine batters and allowing no earned runs to advance his team to the District 3 championship game. At the plate, he went 3-for-4 against district champion Milton, with a tournament average of .500, including two doubles. That same week, Graham set a Lewes Yacht Club swimming record with the fastest 50 breast across all divisions at the Delmarva Swim Association Championships at Salisbury University. In addition, Graham was top point earner for his team and finished first in his division for the 50 fly and second in the 100 individual medley. He’s looking forward to continuing his studies as an A honor roll seventh-grader at Sussex Academy.
