Atracare announced mental health services are now available at its Ocean View location with two experienced providers joining the practice, making reliable, compassionate therapy and counseling more accessible for individuals and families in southeastern Sussex County.
Practioners Marie Hudson, mental health counselor, and Ann Regacho, LCSW, support patients through many stages of life, with the goal to provide a safe, inclusive and judgment-free space where patients feel heard, supported and empowered throughout their therapy journey.
Hudson brings 12 years of experience in behavioral health to Atracare. Her approach to therapy is holistic, practical, realistic and grounded, taking into account both the internal and external influences that affect a person’s life. Before joining Atracare, Hudson worked in medication-assisted treatment, clinical outpatient settings, peer counseling and leadership roles, supporting clients with substance use disorders, mental health concerns and co-occurring disorders.
Hudons is also involved in community response work related to overdose hotspots in Delaware and serves as a volunteer firefighter/NREMT in her hometown.
Regacho is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience helping adults work through life’s challenges and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Regacho takes a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that physical, emotional and psychological well-being are often connected. She works with adults navigating a wide range of life transitions and emotional challenges, including grief, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship changes, postpartum experiences, relocation, career changes and difficulty feeling hopeful or grounded.
Originally from Maryland, Regacho earned her bachelor of social work degree from Frostburg State University and later worked with Johns Hopkins Health Systems, where she gained valuable experience in therapeutic interventions. She later earned her master of social work degree from Widener University and made coastal Delaware her full-time home.
Regacho also has experience leading small-group therapy, including grief support groups for seniors and support groups for postpartum women. Her work focuses on helping clients better understand their internal dialogue, break old patterns, process past experiences and develop healthier ways to move forward.
