Author Jim Duffy to sign books Dec. 15

December 10, 2019

Jim Duffy, the author of three guidebooks about Delmarva, wants readers to get out and explore.

Inside signed copies of his books, he leaves encouraging messages, like “Happy Wandering,” “Get out and Go!” and “Inspiration Awaits!”

Duffy will be at Browseabout Books to sign all three of his books from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15. His books are “Eastern Shore Road Trips: 27 One-Day Adventures on Delmarva,” “Eastern Shore Road Trips #2: 26 More One-Day Adventures on Delmarva” and “Tubman Travels: 32 Underground Railroad Journeys on Delmarva.”

The books are full of odd little stories, side trips and historical snippets about the area and will appeal to locals and tourists alike, said Duffy. The “Road Trips” books provide  links to websites and area resources for those who want to do a bit of extra research either before or after their travels. Duffy’s book “Tubman Travels” is an opportunity for readers to take a deeper look into Delmarva’s connections with the Underground Railroad.

Duffy is the co-founder of Secrets of the Eastern Shore, a line of photo gift and décor themes which celebrate the Delmarva Peninsula. Duffy’s wife, photographer Jill Jasuta, is a partner in the business as well.
