Ava’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar now open in Rehoboth Beach

After nearly a year of renovations, Ava’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar has opened on Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.

Ava’s, at 29 Baltimore Ave., is located in the corner building that was home to Jakes Seafood for nearly three decades before it closed in 2018. In 2019, the space, 21 N. First St., was home to Steamin’ Blues Crabhouse.

The new restaurant is the second Baltimore Avenue business for restaurateur Chris Agharabi, who opened Theo’s Steaks, Sides & Spirits up the street in early 2020.

This is the third Ava’s. The original is in St. Michaels, Md., and the second is in Cambridge, Md.

Hours of operation posted on Ava’s website are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; and 4 to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday.
