The Lewes Senior Activity Center will sell baked goods and soups from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 6. Home-baked goods made by center members will include cookies, brownies, muffins and pies.
Ceramics crafted by members, including holiday figurines, and art and handmade bird houses will also be displayed for sale. Proceeds will be used to support center programming and operations.
Located at 32083 Janice Road in Lewes, the center promotes health and wellness for people 50 and older. It offers fitness and exercise classes, arts and crafts classes, social get-togethers, affordable travel and community service opportunities for its members. Classes and activities currently offered include yoga, tai chi, balance and strength training, walk aerobics, line dancing, Zumba, ceramics, penny bingo, jackpot bingo and games including mahjong, canasta, pinochle and Scrabble.
