Barbara J. Maske, retired bookkeeper

Barbara J. Maske, 80, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Rehoboth, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, in her daughter's home in Seaford. Mrs. Maske was preceeded in death by her husband of 32 years, William C. Maske; her daughter Martha Hagenbach; her stepdaughters Janice Wolf (Bill) and Vicky Wonders; and stepson William Lewis. She is survived by her children Debra Shockley (Thomas), Terry Hermanson (Lloyd), and Russell Lewis; and stepchildren Sally Radich (Chris), William Maske, Carl Maske (Cindy), Phyllis Sevik (Ken) and Gary Maske; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Maske was a bookkeeper for many years before retiring. Over the last few years, she enjoyed volunteering as a driver for seniors and the visually impaired, keeping them connected to their community. She loved golf, traveling, and being with friends and family. She will be missed by many.
Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Gasch's Funeral Home, 4739 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville, Md. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, Md.
