The inaugural Bark For Life of Sussex County is planned for 12 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at George H.P. Smith Park in Lewes.
Bark For Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society. This family-friendly event offers an opportunity to honor cancer survivors, remember those who have been lost, and recognize the unique supportive role provided by canine companions. The day will include a dog walk, music, games, vendors, a ticket auction and dog demonstrations.
Supporting Bark For Life helps the ACS move closer to its goal of a world without cancer and with more birthdays. Registration is $10 per dog, and each registered dog will receive a bandana and goodie bag. For more information and registration form, go to www.relayforlife.org/sussexcode, or find Bark For Life of Sussex County on Facebook.
