Jenn and Brian Barrows, Coastal Delaware real estate industry professionals with Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty, are celebrating an upcoming milestone with their growing team.
“Our motto since we started in this business over 20 years ago has been Clients for Life,” said Jenn Barrows. “We have always focused on providing long-term real estate guidance and advice to our clients, working with them as they transition through properties and changes in their lives. That’s really been the key to our longevity in this business and what has culminated in so many of our clients turning into friends over the years.”
With that motto firmly in hand, the Barrows and Associates team is on the cusp of a major career milestone – successfully working with buyers and sellers to transact over $400,000,000 in Coastal Delaware real estate sales.
“Thanks to our incredible team, we were able to completely reinvent our marketing and client support through the use of virtual marketing and communication tools over the past year,” said Brian Barrows. “As the market ricocheted from shutdown into overdrive, we worked to provide the most up-to-date real estate information and developments to our clients on a daily basis.” That hardworking mentality in 2020 translated into closing $52,000,000 in sales, 93 property transactions with clients, and the addition of four team members to Barrows and Associates, bringing their group to 13.
The Barrows’ multifaceted team now includes licensed and dedicated buyer and seller agents, an operations manager, marketing director and settlement coordinator who work together to personally manage every detail under team leaders Brian and Jenn. “We believe in continual learning and investing in our people to better ourselves and our team,” said Jenn. “A few years ago, as we continued to grow, we decided to work with Tom Ferry, the best real estate coach in the industry, to provide guidance, support and accountability for all our team members. The best parts of this coaching are the resources and connections we have made with industry leaders across the country, allowing us to help and guide our clients with top-notch knowledge, best-in-class negotiation strategies and cutting-edge technologies.”
As the Barrows look back on one of the most intense years of their lives, both personally and professionally, they are extremely grateful for the opportunities they have had to give back to the local community over their careers. “One of the most fulfilling parts of our work is finding opportunities to pay it forward,” said Jenn. “Each year, we’ve made it a priority to join forces with Sussex Strong, a foundation started by members of the Sussex County Association of Realtors to support local families in need.”
The organization has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars over 20 years for critical services to Sussex County residents such as housing, food and clothing, and educational needs. Jenn currently serves on the board of Sussex Strong. Brian is a proud member of the Beebe Medical Foundation Ambassador Program and sits on the board of the Delaware State Golf Association Scholarship Fund.
