Bay Country Figure Skating Club seeks fundraiser support, donations

Bay Country Figure Skating Club in Harrington has begun its 2018-19 season with excitement about three fundraisers.

The club’s annual mum fundraiser was a success. New this year were a Chipotle fundraiser in Dover and a Fancloth apparel fundraiser. The club raised a total of $1,800. Top fundraisers include Isabella Metz and Tori Lingo of Lewes, Ryleigh Sheehan of Felton, Alaya McCarthy of Laurel and Isabella Woodworth of Ridgley, Md.

The club is working to raise money to help pay for ice time associated with the sport of figure skating. To look for more fundraisers or to donate, visit The Bay Country Figure Skating Club on Facebook. 

BCFS was established in 1982 in Maryland and is now based in Harrington with 42 members from all over Delaware and parts of Maryland. Club members are children and adults who enjoy skating at all levels. The BCFSC mission is to provide a safe, family and friendly environment for people of all ages. BCFSC provides supportive coaches who help skaters build self-esteem and good sportsmanship, and reach their full potential in skating, whether recreational or competitive.
