Milton police seek information on incidents
December 6, 2018

Milton Police Department is seeking more information on a series of incidents where cars in Shipbuilder’s Village were shot with a BB or pellet gun.

Chief Robert Longo said 25 cars and four homes have been shot within the last four nights. The department has no suspects at this time. Most of the cars had damage to the windows, but Longo said some had damage to the side doors. The incidents have occurred at night or in the early morning hours.

Longo said the department has increased patrols in the area and is hoping to find video surveillance footage of the shootings. He urged the public to keep an eye out for any suspicious people or vehicles and to call 911 or Milton PD’s dispatch center, 855-2980.

Delaware State Police spokeswoman Melissa Jaffe said there have been similar incidents in Henlopen Acres and outside Milton. There have also been reports of BB gun shootings in Lewes.
