Beach Babies celebrates Director Gina Ling’s 20th anniversary

July 5, 2018

Beach Babies Child Care celebrated Director/Administrator Gina Ling’s 20th anniversary June 15 at the Lewes center.

Ling started working for Beach Babies in 1998, teaching 2-year-olds. The child care program, which had only been running a few years with about 40 children, was located in a house in Dutch Acres, Lewes.

Since then, Beach Babies has grown to three early learning centers that welcome hundreds of children and families daily. Ling is based at the Lewes location. She continued working as a teacher until 2004, when she became curriculum coordinator. In 2006, Ling became director/administrator, overseeing the busy operation at Beach Babies along with her support staff of 35-40.

Ling makes herself available as a resource for families and children with questions or concerns. She has mentored and trained many new Beach Babies staff, and is always fielding questions from administrators at the other locations. She is very passionate about providing high-quality care and education for each child.

Beach Babies is a Delaware 5 STAR center, which means the program has been assessed as a high-quality educational program through the Delaware Department of Education. For more information, go to www.beachbabieschildcare.com.
