Beach portraits and picnics to benefit Nemours Milford Oct. 18

Nemours Fête Champêtre at the Beach: Portraits and Picnic Baskets is set for 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18. 

The Nemours Fête Champêtre, meaning “outdoor celebration,” is a carefully crafted, socially distant fundraising event featuring some of the area’s best caterers and photographers. Families are invited to enjoy a scheduled beach portrait and a gourmet, multi-course picnic basket at one of two locations offered. Proceeds benefit Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Milford, and the pediatric services that will be offered there.

In Lewes, Maria DeForest Photography will take beach portraits at Herring Point at Cape Henlopen State Park. Tickets include family beach photos with 3-5 digital files, and a take-home, multi-course, gourmet picnic basket provided by SoDel Concepts via pickup at Fish On in Lewes. Ticket prices start at $350.

In Bethany Beach, Alexis Mears Photography and Tony Dawson Photography will take beach portraits at the south inlet at Delaware Seashore State Park. Tickets include family beach photos with 3-5 digital files, and a take-home, multi-course, gourmet picnic basket provided by Fork + Flask, a division of LaVida Hospitality. Picnic basket pickup is on site. Ticket prices start at $350.

The rain date will be Sunday, Oct. 25.
