Beacon students to perform with All State Junior Choir Feb. 22

A group of 12 Beacon Middle School students was recently selected to participate in the All State Junior Choir ensemble, which is the highest number of student participants Beacon has had in the choir to date.

Prior to this year, nine was the highest number of students to have participated. Beacon was also the third-ranking school in the state, with the most students participating this year.

The All State Choir and All State Junior Choir are organized by the Delaware Music Educators Association. As part of the selection process, students are required to participate in a blind audition for a panel of  association members. Once selections are made, a two-day rehearsal is held prior to the performance.
