Beacon volleyball defeats Milford 2-0

The Beacon Middle School volleyball team hit the court on fire and never cooled off Oct. 9, as they downed Milford Middle School 25-20 and 25-14 to pick up their first win of the season. The B squad powered to as 25-12 victory.

“The girls made big strides incorporating a lot of the things we have been working on in practice,” said Beacon head coach Dion Lamb. “I feel like we turned a corner today. I’m very proud of how they played.”

Beacon’s Tobi Robinson scored three assists, two aces and one kill. Skylar Steigerwald got an assist, two aces and two kills. Brielle Ross served an ace and spiked three kills. Faith Re assisted on two points, served two aces and slammed three kills. Montana Jones set an assist, served an ace and scored three kills. Hannah Abel slammed a kill.

The Vikings moved to 1-3 on the season. They travel to Smyrna Monday, Oct. 14, to face the Smyrna Middle School Eagles.
