Beebe donors’ gifts bring Christmas joy all year long

All through the year, grateful Beebe patients and donors have made every day feel like Christmas – thank you!
Beebe Medical Foundation is thrilled to announce the success of the I Believe in Beebe Campaign and the great investment from the Sussex County community that made it possible.

Community members said countless times over the past four years of the campaign, “I Believe in Beebe, and I can’t think of a better investment with my philanthropy.” Because of your support with gifts of all sizes, the campaign finished with a record-breaking amount of over $45 million raised.

These campaign gifts, along with a bond financing, will help fund the $200 million expansion plan underway – the South Coastal Emergency Department and Cancer Center opening in a few short months and the Specialty Surgical Hospital opening in 2022.

Renovations are underway and many are completed for the Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus, including improvements to the east and west entrances, and several new cardiac and vascular facilities.

Campaign gifts set up endowments for nursing scholarships, home health and professional development as well as providing funding for wellness programs, population health initiatives, and the special needs fund, to name a few.
Donors who provided for Beebe in their estate plans ensure future gifts to provide for home health, cancer programs and other needs at Beebe.

Campaign gifts also funded stretchers, diagnostic imaging equipment, a respiratory cough device, new table for the lactation room, survivorship conference, cancer center shuttle vans, palliative care books and resources, cardiac echo machine, conference and professional development opportunities, etc.

Your continued support is needed. It helps us build facilities that provide state-of-the-art spaces where our Beebe Heroes work to take care you and your loved ones.

It helps purchase capital equipment like the latest diagnostic imaging apparatus for the over 1.4 million tests and treatments performed each year.

Your support helps us fund our award-winning home care department that provides skilled nursing and physical therapy care for more than 250 patients daily in their homes, which is (great news!) more patients than are treated each day in the hospital.

Your support helps Beebe take care of over 50,000 people each year in our Emergency Department and over 55,000 in our walk-in centers.

Your support helps us provide care visits for 73,000 patients each year via Beebe’s Cancer Program and supports our award-winning orthopaedic, cardiac and vascular programs. We cannot do what we do without your contributions.
