Betchkal dispels residency rumors

August 5, 2019

I wish to dispel a concern being spread that if I am elected a Rehoboth commissioner, I might not be able to fulfill my term because my house is for sale. As I told Chris Flood June 1: “I hope to sell my home on Sussex Street and buy something smaller, in town of course, and better suited to one person.  My 3,600-square-foot home is too much home for one person.”

My need to downsize does not change the fact that I have more full-time resident tenure than all my fellow candidates combined. Eventually, I will downsize to the cemetery on Henlopen Avenue where I own a plot.
