Bethany-Fenwick Chamber says thanks

July 10, 2018

On behalf of the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Town of Selbyville and chamber team, I would like to thank everyone who supported the 61st Annual Old Timer's Day to make it a memorable occasion.

Classic cars, trucks and emergency vehicles lined Church Street as all in attendance enjoyed the sunny day viewing the vehicles and conversing with the owners. Town Hall was full of energy with live music from The Glass Onion Band sponsored by Mountaire Farms of Delmarva, a live radio broadcast from the Voice Radio's Brian Baull, vendors lining the lot, and fun for children with Cascading Carlos, and Anchors Aweigh providing Archery Wars and a bounce castle.

Presented by Bunting and Murray Construction Company, the day finished with the award ceremony announcing the winner for Best Interior (sponsored by WSFS Bank), Best Exterior (sponsored by Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home), and Best Engine Compartment (sponsored by Dr. James K. Kramer, DMD, MAGD), by decade, and the overall Best in Show winners. This year's Best of Show awards, sponsored by West Fenwick Car Wash, went to a 1959 Chevy Impala (Cars & Trucks), a 1955 Cadillac Ambulance (Emergency Vehicle), and a 1950 Ford 8N Tractor (Tractor). The public vote awarded two cars the title of People's Choice Award Winner sponsored by Sussex Eye Center: a 1957 Plymouth Savoy and a 1969 Chevy Camaro.

Thank you to everyone who made the day possible including our volunteers, town employees, the first responders of Selbyville, and our sponsors who supported the 61st Annual Old Timer's Day.

Lauren Weaver
executive director, Bethany-Fenwick Area
