June 30, 2020

Beverly E. Crowley, 89, of Rehoboth Beach, lover of life, nature, family and friends, left us to be with the Lord Friday, June 26, 2020.  She was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Chester, Pa., daughter of the late William and Pearl Long.

Beverly graduated from high school in Chester after which she obtained her esthetician license and practiced skin care from her home, continuing the practice of health, essential oils, and the well-being of others.  She was a faithful member of Lewes Presbyterian Church and was active in the Wilmington Trail Club, a volunteer for Brandywine State Creek Park, Habitat for Humanity, and the Prime Hook Wildlife Preserve.  Beverly enjoyed traveling across the United States from east to west and into Alaska.  She made routine visits to Amish Country in Lancaster, Pa., into her late 80s.  Beverly continued day trips to Prime Hook Wildlife Preserve and Lavender Fields with her friends.  She was an amazing lady of great character, sense of humor, and love of God, and she will be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends, for her honesty, kindness, and amazing inner strength.  She will be deeply missed.

Beverly is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Harry J. Crowley of Rehoboth Beach;  her daughters:  Doreen McGuigan (Jim) of Wenatchee, Wash., and Mary Lynn McKinnon of Tucson, Ariz.; her sister, Ann Hipkins of Longmont, Colo.; and her many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 1, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.  Interment will be private.
