I wanted to comment on a statement that was made in a letter of July 21 about cyclists not stopping at stop signs. Delaware actually passed the Delaware Yield law in 2017, allowing cyclists to ride through stop signs if the road is clear. Idaho passed this law in 1982, and 11 other states and the District of Columbia have passed similar legislation as well after Delaware and Idaho. Seven of those states have also passed legislation that allows cyclists to ride through red lights after first stopping, but Delaware law does not allow that.
