Big Chill raises $5,000 to Crush Out Cancer

June 25, 2022

Big Chill Beach Club and Big Chill Surf Cantina recently donated more than $5,000 to the Cancer Support Community Delaware through the Seventh Annual Crush Out Cancer fundraiser.

Both locations donated 50% of all crush sales from the weekend to the cause.

Crush Out Cancer is an annual fundraiser uniting restaurants and individuals in Delaware on the first weekend of June to observe National Cancer Survivors Day. Funds raised from the event go toward the Cancer Support Community Delaware support groups, which work to make sure no one has to face cancer alone.

“We were stoked to be a part of Crush Out Cancer for a third year in a row,” said Matt Garbutt, Big Chill director of marketing. “It was a perfect weekend for customers to soak in the beautiful weather and sip on some delicious crushes. We were happy to support an organization that means so much to us.”

Cancer Support Community Delaware strives to ensure that anyone impacted by cancer is empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community. Cancer Support Community Delaware’s support groups and programs are professionally led to help caregivers cope with the emotional and life-changing aspects of cancer.
