Big Draw Festival classes continue in Milford Oct. 17

October 14, 2020

This year’s Big Draw Festival DE theme is A Climate of Change with an emphasis on using art to explore recycling, reusing, and protecting the environment.

The challenge for instructors is to use recycled materials to make art, like creating scrap glass picture frames or making a collage using mixed media.

Festival-themed classes are offered at Mispillion Art League in Milford for all ages and experience levels.

Monoprint Leaves, for ages 10 and up, will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17. Robin Deal will facilitate. Judy Struck will teach Terrific Tiles for ages 8 and up from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Oct. 17.

Watercolor Paintings of Crystal and Glass, for ages 14 and older, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, with Gerilyn Gaskill as instructor.

Robin Dean and Sandy McCann Garden will teach Sandcast Art Creation, for ages 14 and up, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22.

Sarah Rodman will facilitate Candle Making for the Holidays for ages 8 and older from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24.

Classes are taught in a bright, spacious studio with individual tables physically distanced, and cleaned and disinfected between classes. Masks are required, and gloves and hand sanitizer are readily available.
