Billie Louise Wilkinson passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026. She was born Jan. 19, 1939, to the late Robert and Wilhelmina Tisher.

Billie grew up in Milton and later made her home in Lewes, where she raised her three children.

She worked for many years as a real estate agent.

Billie had a lifelong appreciation for art. She was an avid artist, and she took numerous art classes, including watercolor, oil and decorative arts. She was ahead of her time, using decorative art painting, repurposing old pieces of furniture and driftwood as her canvases. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time at the beach, which she shared with her two oldest grandsons. Above all, Billie treasured the time she spent with her family, including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by her three children, Connie-Jo Martinez and her husband John, Guy Wilkinson, and Scott Wilkinson and his wife Melanie; her sisters, Rose Hazzard and Pat Tucker; her sister-in-law, Mary Tisher; and LeeAnn Wilkinson and Corinne Billger.

Billie is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, Meagan Martinez Pica and her husband Greg, Ashley Martinez and her husband Sam Silverman, Zachary Martinez, Taylor Wilkinson and her husband Sean Correa, Billie Wilkinson,  Ginger Wilkinson, Lucy Wilkinson, Rose-Lee Wilkinson, Robert Wilkinson, Thadd Wilkinson and his wife Nina, Brett Wilkinson and his wife Barbara, Cailan Wilkinson, Aiden Wilkinson, and Olivia Wilkinson. She is further survived by her eight great-grandchildren, Phil, Pearl, Miles, Marlin, Bambi, Sammy, Wyatt and Lincoln; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Wilhelmina Tisher; and her brothers, Herbert Tisher and Manning Tisher.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes.
